Newspaper obit does not include date, but states she died in New Hartford (Oneida), NY.It appears the date most probably was 1890-1895. Nancy was probably at least 90yr. Would love to discover her birth and death dates and anything about her mother and father. I know nothing of the CAFFREY's and where they were from.
Nancy's husband, Richard BOWNE, was b 1797 around NYC; he and Nancy lived in Butternuts (now Morris), Otsego, NY, and had 11 children. Richard d at age 53 in 1852 and is buried at Morris in Quaker Burying Ground, altho I don't think he was Quaker. He grew up in a Quaker family, tho. Nancy does not seem to buried in Morris. Suspect she is in the New Hartford area where she lived with one or more of her youngest children.
Names of children are: Joseph BOWNE b 1818 and m Eliza WEEDEN; Edward BOWNE b 1819 and m 1st ___ CARD, 2nd Nancy LUNN; Jane BOWNE b 1821; Isaac Leggett BOWNE b 1823 and m 1st H Caroline __,2nd Mary Augusta STARR; Rebecca BOWNE;Germond BOWNE;Samuel BOWNE; Mary BOWNE m Daniel VAIL; Maria BOWNE m __ MILLER; Jerusha BOWNE m __ COLE; William BOWNE, who died young.
