My name is Melissa Griffin Jacobs. I was raised in Smiley,Texas, Gonzales County. My gggrandfather was George Culver Tennille,Jr. I have been researching the Tennille/Tennill/Tennell name for almost 20 years. It is spelled many ways and you are correct in saying that our family spells it Tennille.
I am researching the Caffall/Cafall name because our patriarch, Francis Tennill and wife Margaret Sinclair/St Clair lived in Va. In his will we find that he has left his minor children to Ephriam Caffall. Since the only Caffall's I could find at the time were in England, I cannot imagine why he did this. It makes you think that maybe E.Caffall was in the US at the time. I have only to prove it! I think they were either kinfolk or lived near each other and were close friends. By thge way he did not die at that time and the children were not raised by the Caffalls.
So you see we are both trying to find the Caffall roots.
My Line:
1) George Tennille,Sr. & Margaret Sinclair
2) George Culver Tennille,Jr. & Sarah Elizabeth Davis
3) Harriett Melissa Tennille & Jasper Cokley Griffin
4) Travis Clyde Griffin,Sr. & Lillie Squyres
5) Travis Clyde Griffin,Jr. & Billie J. Hames
6) Melissa Griffin & Rev Matthew Jacobs
Anything you can add or suggest would be great! I know several people in the Hill Country that are researching this name, no doubt you know this or are kin to them. If you want names and email addresses let me know.

Thanks a bunch,
Washington Co.,Tx.
