My CADY family moved to Vernon, NY in Oneida County, in 1804 from Norfolk, CT. They were Chester and Mary (SWEET) CADY. They had 7 children who moved with them and they were Joseph, Phebe (BARKER), Benjamin, Dorothy (BETTIS), Polly (HARMON), Alva, and Hiram.

Joseph moved to Madison, Ohio and married Phebe ANTISDEL there. As far as I know, none of their children were named Benjamin. Benjamin married Candace SMITH in Oneida County abt. 1816. They moved to Madison, OH about 1820 and then moved to Brimfield, OH in 1827. They had 3 children, only one of which was a son and his name was Julius. Most known descendents of Julius still live in the Brimfield area and my uncles still live on the original farm. I do not know what became of Alva, he could have had a son named Benjamin but I don't know. Hiram also moved to Madison, OH then moved to CA and died during the gold rush.

I can't connect to your Benjamin but I think that most of the CADYs in Oneida County during the 1804 to 1840s were somehow closely related. Let me know if you would like more info on my family.

Goodluck!
