Where abouts in NY is your grandfather? I have lots of Cady's from Chemung County and surrounding areas. No Harry Cady though...at least not yet. Alot of my info is prior to 1900's.
While your grandfather is still alive you need to talk with him and learn everything that you can and write it all down ! See if he will sit and write about things that he remembers as he was growing up. My father did this for me and I know that it will be wonderful for future generations.
