When I read the book The Life of General Lew Wallace by General Lew Wallace, his mothers family were Navy Captains who I believe were connected to Captain Kidd.

Mayby a coincidence and maybe not.

For sure if you read about William H Seward, he had a connection with both Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Edward M Stanton and I can place Edward M Stanton and Henry Stanton together in Pittsburgh in 1856.

Lew Wallces's father roommate at West Point was Pittsburgh student Denny St Clair buried at Allegheny Cemetery. Part of General Lew Wallace's family claimed DAR membership against General Arthur St Clair's service records. He is also buried in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. Some of the St Clairs are buried with the Kidd family.

A coincidence for sure.
