Selinda is definitely a Cady name, but I do not know that I can give you a definite connection. My g-g grandmother was Fanny Sevilla Cady, and her sister was Louise Selinda Cady. Supposedly the Sevilla and Selinda names were family names, down through the Allen family. Fanny's parents were PLhillip Helmer Cady and Mary E. Rice. Phillip's parents where Charles Cady and Jane Helmer. Mary E. Rice's parents were Eber Rice (Rev. War private) and Mary Alcott. Eber Rice's parents were Stephen Rice and Wait Allen, hence the Allen side. I suspect you have a tie to this group, as your family first names fit in. I do have the children of these families, but do not see the tie.
