Lucetta's maiden name has been (erroneously) repeated as Russell ever since I speculated that this might be correct years ago. Somehow my brackets around <Russell> were dropped and then picked up as fact ever after.
I am happy to report that a researcher in Fergus Falls, MN., a member of the Otter Tail County Genealogical Society, has sent me evidence from Lucetta's death certificate (Book B, page 150, line 19)that Lucetta's father was John Converse and her mother's given name was also Lucetta.
Unfortunately for me there was no such information on her husband, and my direct male ancestor, Haziel E Cady born in CT in 1809 (but variously reported to census takers as Rhode Island and NY, on occasion).
Hopefully, this name will lead me somewhere and I will be able to graft this broken limb back onto the family tree.
