Thank you, Pam I am glad to see that you are still out there searching. Early on, maybe 10 years ago, you gave me some of my best information...even tho it has not lead to a connection with Haziel. My ancestor was born in CT in 1809 so I have to agree that Chester is not the right man. Did any of the others in your line go to CT in the early 1800's...or perhaps to RI? My Haziel usually reported (to the census takers)his birth was in CT but on at least one occasion he said RI. He also said his parents were both born in CT, so I should probably limit my search to those two states. I think it was you who pointed out long ago that Amos, who came from NY to Whiteside, IL was not the same as "my" Amos Cady who was living next to Haziel in the 1835 Sate census of Starkey, Yates, NY. Have you any suggestions? Haziel stayed in NY until about 1846 when he moved to WI. Amos moved out also, or at least I cannot find him in NY in 1840 or 1850....roughly the same time frame that your Amos moved to Whiteside. Anyway, I am pleased that you are still out there and still willing to work on the Cady story. Jack Cady Spokane, WA. Notify Administrator about this message?
