Wish I could help - we, too, have Cadys who were in that area of NY. Florence, NY (Oneida Cty.) is birthplace of my gg grandmother Fanny Sevilla Cady, May 15, 1828. She m. Charles Delos Nicholson in Florence on August 13, 1850. They all moved to Illinois, and d. there (Fanny d. Aurora, Illinois). Her father, Phillip Helmer Cady, one of 15 children was b. May 15, 1787 in Johnstown, NY, but lived (and died) in Hector, NY (d. April 5, 1849). His father, Charles Cady d. in Camden, Oneida Cty, NY, near Fonda, NY. Charles was the oldest of three brothers (other two John & Stoddard), sons of Ezekiel Cady and Abigail Stoddard. I have some names of brothers and sisters, but our family of Cadys ended up in the midwest by the 1840's-1860's. Contact me if you can make a connection. E-mail preferred.
