There is a reference to your Matthew Patrick Cady in the will of his uncle, Matthew Patrick of Windsor, VT. Will dated 4 Aug 1789. He was given fifteen pounds lawful money to be paid by my Executor...after the said Matthew P. Cady is to the age of three years, in Neat Stock, to be paid by my executor, in two years after my decease to Stephen Cady, father and parent of said Matthew P. Cady...which said sum with the interest is to be kept good by said parent for the use of the said Matthew P. Cady, when he shall arrive to the age of twenty-one years. There is also a sister, Isabel Patrick, eldest daughter of Stephen Cady, mentioned to receive two pounds when she is 18. I have some additional information on the Patricks which is the line I have been researching if you are interested.
