I would like to get the informaiton Mr. Glen Cady wrote. There also is some information about Abner in the book "Linn County, Kansas a History" by William Ansel Mitchell published in 1928, on page 188.

Samuel, Abner's bother was born in 1816. Their parents were Rev. Samuel P. Cady and Sarah Griggs or Thomas. They had 7 childred, Jabez b. 1800, Abner, b. 1803, Polly, b. 1806, Samuel, b. 1816, Andrew, 1821, Sarah, 1823, and Charles b. ????. Grandparents were Elijah Cady b. 1 Nov 1747, Plainfield Connecticut, d. 1833, Troupsville, New York and Nonne Unknown.

I heard a old family story that Abner was killed by a lighting strike. Does anyone know if that is true? Also not sure where he is burried.
