Have no idea if this is same Silas Cady- I see many postings for many different Silas'...! However, going by previous message/posting in reference to Wilson Cady being born in Schnectady Co., NYS, I found a Silas Cady on 1840 census in Glenville, of that County. In his household, one male under five years of age; one 5-10; one 10-15; one 20-30; one 30-40. IF same family, the latter would be Silas, one male 5-10 would be Wilson, but have no idea about the younger male, or 2 older ones. There was no male listed in 1850 census who would fit the younger category; Peleg not born until about 1842. Of course, there could have been children who died young. And certainly Silas and Susan could have had children older than Wilson who was born about 1833, who were then married/living on their own by 1850 Michigan census and so not included in Silas and Susan's home. Ditto goes for females- there was one female in 5-10 range, could have been Julia; but also one female 20-30, and one 30-40 who would have been Susan, if and only if this is same Silas Cady family. If anyone knows that this 1840 census info IS for another Silas Cady family out of Schnectady Co., NYS, would you please post here to clarify? Thanks from Nora Notify Administrator about this message?
