There weren't many Cutlands around so they may be related. The only Cutland I followed was Elizabeth (Betsy)Cutland, born to Philip and Susan Cutland in Swimbridge,Devon,England in 1839.
Susan and Philip had other children (all born in England) William 1841; Philip 1845; Susan 1847; and Pilip Henry 1849. The whole family moved to Wisconsin and showed up in the 1850 census... Philip was 37 and Susan 38 at that time. Next to Philip and Susan was living an Edward Cutland... presumably a relative.
Could your Lydia have married one of these boys? Philip Henry Cutland would have been 30 years old by then... a little old for a first marriage... or perhaps she married the older Edward's son who could have been a marrying age by then.
You might be able to get someone in WI to do a lookup of the 1890 federal census for you.
