I am looking for anyone who has information on Cadwell name in Scotland which would probably be spelled Kadwell. Walter Cadwell is believed to have come from Scotland to the coast of Main in 1619. He embarked from northern England, presumably by schooner out of Liverpool. He is later noted as being in Massechusets in 1630 as a merchant. From there the Cadwells migrated to Connecticut. Anyone with information regarding this American origin of the Cadwells - not Caldwell, they are not related.
