I am a decendant of James Trotter and Caroline Seidwand of Clydesdale, Chandos Twp., Peterborough County. They had a son named Thomas Trotter who was the father of my Grandmother, Cora who married Eric Wilson Carr. She passed about 2 weeks ago in ther 100th year.
James Trotters' first wife was Marion (Mary) Davidson, Daughter of Thomas Davidson. She died in childbirth. He later re-married Caroline (Carrie) Seidwand. James and Marion I think had a daughter who married named Albert Cadwell. They had 2 sons named Roy and Bert.
I have a lot of info on the Trotters and some on Seidwand and the Gerrard Families. Let me know if this is of interest. I also have some info on some of the other families in the area like Irish, MacPherson, etc.
