My father was adopted from the alice chapin adoption center in New York in 1925. The adoption papers list his bological father as Ernest Cadwell of New Haven Conn. We believe he attended Yale university for at least 2 years prior to 1925. My fathers biological mothers name was Belle Lamson also of New Haven conn. Ernest and Belle were never married, and we are not sure if Ernest even knew she was pregnant. My father passed away March of 2002. We would love to know anything about our genealogy. any info would help.
