Daniel Cadwell born 1793, NC. Died March 5, 1864 in Fayette Co. TX and is buried in Plum Grove, Fayette Co. TX. He had sons or nephews that were twins, Moses and Aaron Cadwell. Whom, according to family lore, were stolen by the indians in Texas, on the covered wagon trip from Griggsville,IL. This would have occured between 1836 and 1864. Daniel Cadwell's son, Hugh McNary Cadwell, was born Aug 5, 1836 in Griggsville, IL. Hugh Cadwell's mother was Elizabeth McNary, born Feb. 23, 1802 born in Fayette Co. KY.
Hugh Cadwell married Laura M. Snell, 1866 in La Grange, Fayette Co. TX.
As I research, the names Daniel, Moses and Aaron keep showing up so I suspect a connection to the Connecticut Cadwells, but have not found the connection.
