My ancestor Hugh Cadogan was born in Ireland and married Catherine Miller--I don't know Whether he married her in Ireland or New York State. They had four children: Barnabus, Mary, John, and Nancy. All children were baptised in the Dutch Reform Church. I am descended from his John, who married Anna Van Deusen in 1774 in Fonda, Montgomery County. Was Hugh his real first name--did he die in the U.S. I have a lot of information to share about my line also.
