My grandmother's family name is Cadigan--spelt with an "i". Your Ellen would be (I think) of the same generation as my gggrandfather Michael Cadigan--who I beleive was from Co. Cork Ireland. Michael was born circa 1834, his father's name was Daniel and his mother was named Joanna. He married Julia Donahoe in 1864, Boston MA. Michael was a fisherman. He and Julia had 2 children: Daniel David (1865) and Mary (1867). Have you found out any more information? Does any of this sound like we might connect? I have information re: Daniel David and future generations.
