Mr. Cade and Elizabeth W Branch Cade

I am searching for information on a Mr. Cade, possibly William. He married my great-great-grandmother, Elizabeth W Branch, in 1861 in Liberty, Texas. They had one child, Edith Cade, 16 Aug 1862. Both Mr. Cade and Elizabeth seem to have disappeared, and the only record I have found thus far is Elizabeth's death in 1877.

I do see that at 6 Edith was living with the John Loomis family in Goliad, TX in the 1870 census records, at 15 with G.D. Briggs family in Galveston in the 1880 census, and then 1881 with Henry Clay Stone.

What I would like to find is what happened to Mr. Cade and Elizabeth Branch Cade. If anyone has information about this, I would sure appreciate it. Thank you.
