David,
Appreciate your help. Though Lucinda,
Manuel, Jose are names in my Cabrera family,
I think my Tomas Cabrera is the one that
died in 1859 at age 65 in Brownsville, Tex.
The manner of his death? Hung by the Tex.
Rangers to spite Juan Nepomoceno Cortinas,
the great Robin Hood of our people. Tomas
was his lieut.col. and right hand man.
And, concerning Mariano, his father was
a soldado, Jose Manuel Cabrera.
