William E. Cabell, born in Monroe Co., VA, 16 May 1789; was being educated for a Presbyterian minister, but, his health failing, he became a farmer, of Casey Co, KY.; married, 15 March 1826, Mary Alstott, and died 29 March 1835, leaving 4 children.(This is from page 600 of Cabells and Their Kin)
William E. Cabell was the second son of Samuel Jordan Cabell and Susanna Ewing. There were 11 children of this union.
Samuel Jordan Cabell was the first son of Col William Cabell and his wife Margaret Jordan.
Col William Cabell(b. 1730 in VA) was the second born of Dr William Cabell and his wife Elizabeth Burks Cabell.
