I am of Caballero (Cavalier) descent from Assumption Parish. Unfortunately, I do not see a Victor in my searches to date. My line begins with Frank Cavalier, whose father Andre Cavalier actually began as Andre Magloire Cavallero (born Nov 30, 1843 in Assumption Parish, LA). His father Pierre Honore "Perique" Caballero married Marie Dolores Falcon. Both were from Assumption Parish. Andre was one of ~12 children. Pierre's father, Domingo Caballero was originally from the Canary Islands. His father, Pedro Jorge Caballero (born ~ 1745 was also from the Canary Islands. Information beyond that becomes difficult. Might I suggest for your search trying ancestry.com or pedigree.ancestry.com.
