Yes, Marysville was a popular place during the Gold Rush for miners to stay and buy their supplies. Located at the junction of the Yuba and Feather rivers, Marysville was "gateway" to the northern mines. Gold was brought back to Marysville, then shipped by boat to Sacramento and other points. There were several hotels in Marysville.
