Ventura Co. history help

I am trying to find a person that lived in Ventura Co. in the 1920's. that lived on a ranch in Santa Susanna. The owner of the ranch was a Mr. Lane. In 1946 he sold to people that used the property as a Jewish Youth camp. The property was 4000 acres later to become just 2000 acres. This particular property was near a ranch owned by Joel McCrea. The place must have been owned by wealthy people as it was a home with 22 bedrooms and 22 bathrooms. It also had a huge pool and a dancehall pavilion. Does anyone know of any history books in that county where we could find info on this area of Santa Susanna and maybe where we could locate the books. Any help at all would be appreciated. Thank you....
