John Allen McCoy, born 1831 in Jefferson Co., IN. Moved to Visilia,Tulare Co., CA. area circa 1880/1885. Divorced in fall of 1855 in Stockton. Was married then to Louisana Belle Hanchett. Had two children:
1. Leander B. Mccoy, born 11 June 1873 in Lucas Co., Iowa
2. Viniah Frances McCoy, born 4 March 1876 in Lucas Co., Iowa.
Filed for a Civil War Pension in Visilia, CA.
on 5 Feb 1891. He moved then and left no forwarding address before the Bureau of Pensions could approve his pension.
Would appreciate any help on finding info on his children grandchildren, if he had any.
