I found this online from the Fresno Bee, Fresno, CA. dated Saturday, January 27, 2007:

HORTON, GORDON D. — Chapel services for Gordon D. Horton, 85, of Porterville will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Whitehurst Loyd Chapel. Mr. Horton, a social service worker for Tulare County, died Tuesday. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel.

Next time I go to the Tulare Library I'll see if there might be a better obituary with more information.
