I am searching for info on my grandparents and great grandparents in Tulare Co. My grandfather, Leo Erwin Adams married Bessie Marie Harris in Earlimart in 1919. They lived in Porterville where 2 children were born - Dorthy Mae Adams, 1920, and Rodney Harris Adams, 1921. Leo's father, Cory Penn Orlando Adams, lived with them at some time but I do not know when he came to live with them or if his wife came as well. Cory died in 1926 in Porterville of a self-inflicted gunshot. My father (Rodney) found his grandfather. I am searching for newsclippings for marriage, births, death as well as any other info on the family. I would like to know when the Harris family and the Adams family arrived in the area. Bessie's parents were Jewell H. Harris and Lucy Bulman Bauer Harris. Can anyone give me the name of a newspaper that would have archives of that time? Sure would appreciate any help. Happy searching!
