Charles C. WILSON (born 1860 in Visalia, Tulare Co, CA; died 4 July 1889 in Oceanside, Tulare Co, CA) was married in 1885 to Maggie ROBERTSON (born c1860/65). He was elected City Marshall of Oceanside in 1888; shot to death in line of duty. Survived by pregnant wife and 2-yr-old daughter (name unknown), 2 brothers--James K. WILSON (Constable of Oceanside), & J.D. WILSON--and a sister--Mary Elizabeth (Mrs. John Robert) McCULLOUGH.
I strongly suspect his wife, "Maggie ROBERTSON", is Orpha Marguerite ("Maggie") ROBERTSON, born c1863 --probably in Visalia--, 2nd daughter of Thomas Wheeler ROBERTSON and his second wife Kesiah (SHELBY) COLLIER*, who were married in Visalia on 27 October 1859. [*her maiden name was SHELBY; widowed by first husband COLLIER]
I seek confirmation or denial of my suspicion, but have hit the proverbial brick wall. If confirmed, would appreciate any further info on Charles, his parents, and his & Maggie's descendants. (I'm related to these ROBERTSONs)
