In the Lingenfelter Archives, Robert Arastus Johnson (b. 1820 Tennessee) is said to be in the 1870 Red Bluff Census, with wife Rachel (b. 1824 Illinois) and William Johnson (b. 1837 Tennessee). Also says Tehama farmer 1867, Red Bluff 1870 Census.
He does not show up in the 1870 US Census--did Red Bluff have a separate Census?
