Bradbury - At home, near Modesto. October 27th. Morton Lewis: Husband of Mary W. Bradbury of Modesto; father of Bill and Floyd Bradbury of Nebraska; stepfather of Frank W. and W. C. Jones of Oklahoma City. A native of Montezuma, Iowa; aged 75 years.
Funeral services to be announced later ny Salas brothers-Moore Funeral Chapel, 1019 H Street [That was 1947; they have moved, and they are just "Salas Brothers" now.]
In the October 29 paper was a small addition - he was buried in the Masonic Cemetery here in Modesto.

Salas Brothers are still in business. You could look them up in an on-line phone book and write or call. They may have more information.

If you have the inclination and ability, you can repay the favor by looking up an obituary for someone who posted a request on the GenForum page for your county. I do these to repay a small regiment of people who have helped me.

There is a 47-year old Lewis Bradbury in Walters, Cotton, Oklahoma on the 1920 census, married to a 43-year old Dora. He is b. Iowa, she Tennessee. His parents are both b. Indiana. There are no kids.
This might be him in 1880, maybe.

Age is right, parents' birthplaces are right, first name close, middle initial exact, birth year close enough, county isn't the same as th eobit; Montezuma is in Poweshiek county.
