Help with an Obit for George Curtis - died 29 Apr 1951

Would someone be able to help me with locating a obituaries for some family members living in this locality? These family members lived away from my family as I was growing up and we were never able to get to know them.

I have a George Curtis, b. Oct 1896 in Utah d. 29 Apr 1951 and wife, Irene Bruce, b. 23 Feb 1898 in Wyoming and death date (unknown) that were living in Modesto at the time of his death.

There was also a married daughter and her family that were in Ceres as far as I have been able to determine.

Jay Mortenson - b. 25 Aug 1922 in Utah d. 15-28 Jun 1995

Romona Irene Curtis - b. 1 Jul 1923 in Idaho

I have found him listed on the Calif. Death Index with a death date of 28 Jun 1995 and place just as "Stanislaus". On the SSDI it has his death as 15 Jun 1995 with the last residence and benefits: Ceres,Stanislaus, Ca. I do not have a death date for her and I have not been able to find her on this same index. She may have died previously or moved elsewhere to live with other family members.

But from this index, I may have found the possibility of a son, Jerry Lynn Mortenson, born 29 Dec 1950 and died 4 Dec 1995 that I would like to verify also. These obituaries will give me clues so I continue the search.

Thanks for your help! - Eleanor Morris
