Nadine P. Hilliker
Sept 29, 1912 - Sept 21, 1993
Nadine Pearl Hilliker, 80, of Modesto died Tuesday at her home.
Nadine was a native of Sayre, Okla. and lived in Modesto since 1935.
Mrs. Hilliker was a registered nurse and worked at the old McPheeters Hospital, Modesto, for 12 years. She also owned Nadine Beauty shop in Modesto for 42 years and taught ceramics for five years.
She is survived by her sister, Ruby Orteg of Reseda.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Lone Oak Cemetery, Sayre.
Remembrances may be made to Community Hospice Inc.

Reseda is in southern California. "Ortega" is a MUCH more common name than "Orteg".
If you can find the Salas Brothers or the Community Hospice in an on-line telephone book, you could try to write to them. They might have records of who paid for the funeral or donated money in Nadine's name. If they do, they might be willing to forward a note to those people. They would probably not be willing to send you names and addresses of living people, for privacy's sake. If you write to either one, a small donation ($5 or so) would not be out of line, and a stamped, self-addressed envelope would be a must.
I have no relation to Nadine. I live in Stanislaus County. A lady on another forum did me an enormous favor, which I could not repay, so she asked me to do something nice for someone else. I went to the library and read microfilm until I was dizzy.
