Robert L Rogers, 71, died this morning after an extended illness. A native of Arkansas, he had lived in Modesto the past 11 years. He was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ.
Rogers leaves his widow, Julia; children Delia Ann Gray of Modesto, Nancy Swain of Chowchilla, Madera County and Tressie J. Buckingham of Newman; three brothers, W. S. Rogers of Texas and J. H. and G. W. of Arkansas; a sister, Nettie brown of Illinois; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Salas Brothers - Moore Funeral Chapel. Albert Garrison will officiate. Interment will be in Chowchilla Cemetery.
