I tried for Samuel's obituary in the Modesto Bee of 19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26. He wasn't there. (The Bee didn'tpublish on Saturday back then, so there wasn't one for the 21st.) I'm posting this so I don't repeat the search later on.

Samuel is on
but it just has his MMN, no survivors.

The Ca Death Index above has a Harriet Bell Blinn, who looks like she might be your "Belle", since there are just two BLINNs who died in Stanislaus County on the data base. Her entry has MMN and father's surname, which isn't always the case for women on the data base. I'll see if she has an obit.
