Gayle,

I'll need a few days to locate the information we got when we visited Healdsburg...but Fred Haigh and his wife Isabell owned and operated the Simi Winery for many years. Bert Haigh <Fred's brother> was married to my great aunt Florence Williams who was quite a bit younger than he was. Their marriage really came about when it was discovered that she was involved with a long time family friend also MUCH older than she was, the famous Rev. George Whitworth! I think Bert was George "Bert" Haigh. I guess beautiful Florence had a thing about older men named George. We believe that this was a quickly arranged thing to get her out of this area. She was stunningly beautiful, educated and talented and my great-grandparents were British, well known and a little UPSET about gossip and this strange relationship with their dear personal friend the Reverend. Flo was a music teacher for years in Healdsburg and we found their home when we visited the area. They did not have children and Bert died years before she did in l952.

Thank you for responding! I shall go through my info and share what I have. Are you from the Haigh
family?
