Hello,
I believe the Edward Steiger, born Baden, in late 1830's is a brotehr to my gg grandfather. The family lived in Hermann, MO, and Edward (mentioned in his father's will in 1872) seemed to have disappeared from the Hermann area after 1860. I would love to definately have proof that this Edward is the son of Sebastian and Rosalia Steiger. Any help you could give me would be greatky appreciated. A relative sent me an old photo and told me her Aunt always told her the photo was of Edward Steiger...we just never knew what became of him. Many of the family names match family names from Missouri...I really believe this is him!
Thanks,
Lisa
