I believe the Edward Steiger (of the 1850's) had at least two children: a son, also named Edward or Erhardt, nicknamed Buck (1872-1967). The 1850's Edward Steiger lived through the 1920's at the least ---he used to make illegal whiskey during prohibition. Not sure of the death date. Edward/Erhardt/Buck Steiger married Alice Leahy (c.1875-1945), whose half-sister, Nell Leahy (1886-1965), was my grandmother, in 1895, probably in San Francisco.

Their property in Sonoma was located at 21998 Broadway, north of the Schellville district on the northeast corner of San Luis Road and Broadway. Over the years, the size of the property diminished considerably. I beliefve its sale went to pay bills to London House, a retirement place where E/E/B lived out his last years until 1967.

Erhardt/Edward/Buck and Alice had one daughter, Evelyn Steiger (1906-1963), who was married to a William David Kelly (b. 1912---? --- no knowledge of him since 1963).

I believe the 1850's Edward Steiger also had a daughter, who married a Mr. Harmon. They had, I believe, 3 children, Walter, Lucille, and ?. Lucille lived in Calaveras County, California --- no contact with these individuals since 1963.

The Schellville area is south of the city of Sonoma; Glen Ellen is north of Sonoma, though the family certainly could have had additional property in that area.

Erhardt/Edward/Buck, Alice, and their daughter Evelyn are buried in the St. Francis Cemetery on Napa St. in Sonoma, about a mile east of the south side of the plaza. I hope this information is useful to you.
