MELDRUM Family, Santa Rosa
Is anyone else researching the MELDRUM and related families?David MELDRUM was a landscape gardener fron England, who first settled near Easton, PA ca. 1848, then moved to the Pittsburgh, PA area (ca. 1863-1875), and then on to Santa Rosa, Sonoma County.By 1884 he was the Capitol gardener in Sacramento, leasing out his house on McDonald Ave. in Santa Rosa while he worked in Sacramento (stayed 8 years).David's wife Emma died in Sept. 1888 and David died in Jan 1902.His daughters married into the SHANNON, WOODS, and THOMAS families.
Any additional information or leads to more information would be most gratefully accepted.
