I am writing in response to your post about the Bahler, Bronemann, and Niederhausern Families. My name is Nathan Chryst Bronemann, I am 27 years old and Christian Bronemann is my great-great-grandfather. (I am also his namesake - He was known to be called Chris or Chryst.) I am also doing genealogy research.
I am the son of Larry Bronemann and grandson of Herbert Bronemann, who was born in Ryan, Iowa. His father was Fredrick Bronemann and his father was Christian Bronemann. I have photos of his and Rozina’s gravestones in Iowa.
I guess you were mainly seeking for Bahler information. The only information that I have on the Bahler Family is an Anna Bahler who married Peter Niederhauser in 1712. Peter Niederhauser (b. 1675) is Christian Niederhauser's (b. 26 Jun 1808) Great-great-grandfather. I have the Niederhauser line traced back into the 1500's.
I have no information before Christian Bronemann. I'm looking for it though. I have a picture of a picture of the house that he lived in in Bern where my great-grandfather Fredrick was born. I assume that your grandfather must have been either Christian (b. 1871), Samuel (b. 1881), Johannes (b. 1885), or Gottlieb (b. 1879). Now, I heard that Johannes (or John) moved to California. But, I would guess that you moved form IA to CA in the past 5 years or so.... Anyway, let me know. I am curious to find out how we are related.
Let me know if I can supply you with any more information and if you have any more information that I may not have.
I look forward to hearing form you.
