I am looking for any information on Henry Clay Chester born abt 1850 (?) in Vermont died February 27, 1897 in California. He was in Siskiyou County, California before 1872, and had a son Henry Clay Chester Jr. with a Karuk Indian named "Julia". A Karuk family tree prepared by the tribe for one of the descendants lists Henry's birthplace as Vermont, but the date of birth was unknown. I am hoping the name rings a bell with other Chester researchers.
