Looking for information about Perry Hoyt born in Ohio about 1830. Who were his parents and any other information you may have. Perry, along with two companions Henry Davis, who was born in Ohio in 1836, and John Kegg left Tiffin, Ohio in 1852. They joined a wagon train bound for California. Perry may have been a cripple and possibly had been a printer by occupation in Ohio. In CA. he engaged in farming and stock raising. In 1863 he married Elizabeth Hasbrook in Siskiyou County, CA.
