James ARNOTT (b.1829 Scotland) was a miner at Brandy City by 1860 Census. He travelled to Perth Scotland for marriage Jan 1862 to Margaret M. Barrie and immediately returned with bride to Brandy City Sierra Co. James and Margaret ARNOTT with children Isabelle (b.1863) James Jr (b.1864) Elizabeth (b.1865) Mary (b.1867) Margaret (b.1879) are all listed in 1880 Census for Brandy City Sierra Co. Additional listed in the 1880 Census Brandy City are Alexander ARNOTT (b.1832 Scotland) with wife Mary R ARNOTT b.1840 Scotland) without children.
I seek further information on their Scottish origins etc. also any Scottish relationship between James and Alexander ARNOTT or their wives; also any other California genealogy data for any of these ARNOTT's and/or their Californian descendants.
