There were many Adkins originating with the family of concern. They were early settlers of the Igo & Ono areas at the beginning of the Gold Rush. Igo, Ono and several other towns surrounding them were formed by miners and related industries. My mother, an early descendant was born in 1901 and lived to be 96. She was an Adkins. There are many Adkins descendants of this family in various areas of Northern California, Grants Pass, Medford and one other area there. There is history in Note form just now being reconstructed and there is other information that has already been assembled by at least two searchers of genealogy. Further, I have a book of the family history copied from the LDS files in Utah.
Happy to have you contact me re this info.
