Deceased Name: Karl Helgesson
REDDING -- Services for Karl Lennart Helgesson, 71, of Redding will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Redding Moose Lodge.
Members of the Redding Moose Lodge will officiate.
Mr. Helgesson died Monday, March 9, 1998, at Redding Medical Center.
Born May 11, 1926, in Malmo, Sweden, he moved to Shasta County in 1978 from Simi Valley.
He was a maintenance man for Hughes Market in Los Angeles for 20 years; a member of the Redding Moose Lodge, the Vasa Order of America Skogen Lodge 700 in Redding and Alcoholics Anonymous in Redding; and was in the U.S. Merchant Marine during World War II.
Survivors include stepson Chryston Davis of Redding; daughter Lisa Horn of Whitmore; stepdaughters Chrystele Lutkemeier and Ronda Billings, both of Redding, Misty Fergusson of Taft and Kristy Moon of Bakersfield; brothers Lars-Eric and Gunnar, both of Sweden; sister Anna Bjorklund of Sweden; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Arrangements are pending at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding.
