I am looking for information on a man named Bert B. Snyder Jr. The following is what I know about him so far
Bert B. Snyder Jr. was a white man born in 1886 in California. He lived in Butte County Chico California in 1920 when he was 33 years old. He was shown as a lodger who worked as an attorney according to the census.
The 1923 California Assembly included “Snyder, Bert B. Butte Republican, Democrat.”
1926 phone book of Santa Cruz lists on page 13 “Snyder Bert B. Irene B.; Rittenhouse & Snyder H. 114 Locust“
The California Assembly in 1927 the 47th session of the Assembly included Snyder, Bert B. Republican Representing Santa Cruz County.

Bert B. Snyder Jr. came to office (4-21-59) as a Council member of the city of Santa Cruz. He also held this office in 1960. In 1961 (4-18-61) he was assistant Mayor to John C. Daly.
On 4/24/62 Bert B. Snyder Jr. became Mayor of Santa Cruz. After which time he is political career in Santa Cruz ended.
