One of the survivors names mentioned in the obit I posted was a step-daughter Mrs. Agatha Cummings Southern.

From The Evening News, San Jose, CA May 12, 1903: The wedding of Miss Agatha Cummings, daughter of Mrs. C. G. Sayle, and B. W. Ward of Boston took place at the Baptist Church. Mr. & Mrs. Ward left for San Francisco. They will make a tour of Southern California and will later visit Europe.

The San Jose Daily Mercury, July 4, 1906: Mrs. Agatha Cummings Ward, through her attorney J. C. Sayle, began suit for divorce on July 3 from her husband Benjamin W. Ward on the ground of cruelty. They were married in this city on May 12, 1903 after a short acquaintance. After a short honeymoon the couple went to Boston where the headquaters of Mr. Wards evangelical work was located. Mrs. Ward left her husband in Pennsylvania
