Kathy I hope this doesnt get you going in the wrong direction. My grandmother was Margaret Frances Ortega born in Arroya Grande Ca.1880s.Her father was a Francisco Ortega I think born in Palo Alto Ca. along with his wife unk. first name Espinosa also born in Palo Alto. I know my grandmother had cousins by the name of Cota who lived in Santa Barbara in fact one lived on Cota St. I hope this will help.
