I am looking for Manuel Duarte who came to the states from the Azores. He was born approximately 1865 - 1875. He lived in California, but I'm not sure where. There is a town called Duarte about mid-state that is said to be named after the family. He had a son, Jack Edward, forn 7 Feb. 1898.
If this is any connection, please get back to me.
