My granfather's uncle Johannes Lehmann (1830-1874) and aunt Louise Schindler (1838-1922) went to San Luis Obispo. My grandfather, Arnold (1872-1940) John Schindler and his father William Schindler (1839-1922) went with Johannes and Louise from Missouri but returned to Kansas. William and Louise were siblings. Johannes and Louise had the following children: Matilda, Rosemund Borde, Anna Cherry, Fred, and Marie Benton. Some of these children should have been around in 1937. The Lehmans had a ranch that, according to my Uncle Russell, has become an historical site.
